THE HARTWELL & FINCH APPROACH
Our idea is simple: early learning can feel like a conversation. Sit beside your child, follow their curiosity and make room for their own answers.
A friendly Finch, a familiar object or a simple shape gives little learners something concrete to explore.
Point, say, match, count or circle. The paperback activities offer different ways to take part.
Use the “Tell Finch” prompts to hear what your child noticed. Adult guidance and answer explanations help you along.

A NOTE FOR THE GROWN-UPS

Little Foundations is designed for ages 4–6, with a grown-up nearby to read instructions and share the activities. Choose the pace that suits your child.
Each paperback has 64 pages, including 48 activity lessons, adult guidance and answer explanations. The Kindle editions adapt the learning for reading and talking together; they are not interactive write-in workbooks.
The books explore different subjects, so you can choose the one that interests your child. Within each book, the lessons build from simpler ideas towards more involved activities.
The series uses British English, including words such as “recognise”. Families in other countries can use the same edition.
The series is being prepared for Amazon publication in paperback and Kindle formats. Purchase links will appear here when the listings are live. No orders are being taken on this website yet.
